Day 40: Richmond, IN to Marysville, OH: 108 miles, W: 5-10 SW, Temp 75-90, Clear

9th state.

Amazing sunrise.

Quiet Ohio roads in the morning

Greeting party from home town folks for Tony and Wade at mile 50.

Another farm that made a good picture.

The county police department in downtown Marysville.

Day 40: Went over the 3.000 mile mark today and entered into our ninth state. Early start on this first of four 100 mile days. It was a picture perfect morning with a light ground fog enhancing the sunrise. Many photo opportunities, tried to get them while riding my bike, not a smart move. I have not spent anytime at all in Ohio other then in their airports, so I was very impressed with the beauty of the terrain. Today was relatively flat so we were able to keep a good pace. I rode with my ole riding partners Phil .. I took a few days off from riding with the big dog but felt good today. Big John Hurley rounded out our threesome, his young strong legs make him a great riding partner. His 6’8” body is a good wind break and nice to draft behind. We had lunch and a local restaurant in the old downtown area, Phil used is negotiation skills to get them to make us milk shakes along with some great sandwiches. On to Wooster, OH
