Day 30: A rainy day in St Joseph kept the bikes inside. A few of us went to see the Pony Express museum and Jesse James’s house where he was shot. We then enjoyed a great lunch at a small restaurant called the Gothic House. Phil found it and it is a hidden jewel. Owned, renovated and operated by a lady named Pat McNaughton, a very interesting lady who was on a mission to renovate a house that is now on the historic register for St. Joe. . The rest of the day was spent cleaning and making minor adjustments to my bike and getting ready for the next leg of our journey. Rest days are much needed and anticipated but it’s hard to get use to being off the bike even for a day. No telling what the adjustment is going to be like after the trip ends.
